Fun Fact Friday: Let’s talk Stroke

Did you know a woman’s stroke risk increases if natural menopause occurs before the age of 42. The risk not only increases, it actually doubles.

⚡️Approximately 1.3 million women become menopausal each year and spend 1/3 of their life in the post menopausal stage.

⚡️Did you know smoking, exposure to environmental toxins, and malnutrition have also been associated with premature menopause?

⚡️ More women will experience a stroke then men and account for 60% of all strokes.

⚡️Studies show smoking and va**ng reduce circulating estrogen levels and can lead to premature menopause while increasing your risk for having a stroke.

⚡️E-cigarettes including ni****ne free items contain harmful substances. This causes endocrine disruptors which disturbs the hormonal balance. This als affects the overall function of the reproductive system.

Let’s reduce your stroke risk while lowing your premature premenopause/menopause.

Okay Vital Care Family, let’s keep it going. This week is all about testosterone 💪🏼

💥 Did you know men & women need testosterone?! Let’s explain why.

💥 Testosterone is produced from the ovaries, adrenal glands and te**es.

💥 Testosterone can help reduce Alzheimer’s if dispensed at the early onset of perimenopause/menopause or drop in testosterone levels. In addition, this can improve the overall blood flow to the brain.

💥Testosterone helps improve bone density and preventing osteoporosis. Approx 10 million men & women have osteoporosis, 80% are women. 50% will sustain a fracture in their lifetime.

💥 Testosterone helps improve overall libido, therefore, can improve relationships long term.

💥 A recent publication has proved the long term safety of HRT primarily pellet therapy in patients over a 7 year duration. A peer review study revealed a significant reduction, 39%, in breast cancer for women if on testosterone! 👏🏼👏🏼

💥 Aaaand testosterone helps reduce your lipid panel while lowering your total cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Therefore, cardiovascular disease is reduced!

Comprehensive data is here. Let’s start your breast and prostate protection, boost your energy levels, and optimize your prevention today! ✨

Fun Fact Friday: (On a Saturday)

We’re going to start with transparency. This week has been a very chaotic one between all things patients, family, children, academics and sporting events along with everything in between. We apologize for being late. With that being said, let’s resume our perimenopause/menopause topic of the week. This one is a SENSITIVE subject but one worth discussing while continuing transparency and staying PG.

Week 4: Marital Status

❤️ A 2023 study concluded that women felt their menopause journey worsened their marriage due to the overall effects of menopause.

❤️ This study concluded 90.6% did not receive HRT, 45.7% reported having a very difficult menopause process, and 67.7% reported having a negative impact on their relations. 55.8% of women had felt reluctant and 13.9% had treatment for one common/general symptom only.

❤️ 81.1% of women reported not having this problem before menopause. It was determined that the wife’s journey also impacted the husbands and both correlated the same outcome. Meaning: if the wife continued to have SD then the husband’s SD would be increased. If the wife had low SD then the husband’s would be decreased.

❤️ Divorce: 7 out of 10 women blame perimenopause and menopause for their divorce. A 2023 published article reported over 60% of divorces occur between age 40-60.

This does not account for any additional reasons as to why couples get divorced including safety, however, the strong effect of perimenopause and menopause shouldn’t be overlooked anymore.

Evidence is here and is current. Let’s discuss it all and improve your health, relationships and overall wellbeing today. Our team is here to help! 🫶🏼

Fun Fact Friday: Week 3

Let’s talk about vertigo. We all know about vertigo and how it can be caused by position changes but did you know vertigo could actually be caused by a drop in estrogen levels?! 👈🏼

Yes! You heard that right. 🤯

🌀 Estrogen is a key reproductive hormone, however, estrogen also plays a role in the central nervous system. Estrogen receptors are found in the vestibular system which impacts your overall balance.

🌀 As estrogen levels decline, these processes are interrupted impacting your equilibrium of the vestibular system. Meaning when estrogen levels significantly drop, this can lead to an imbalance leading to the development of vertigo.

🌀 Updated studies show direct links between both the endocrine & vestibular systems. Estrogen is also a key component to your bone health, cardiovascular system, and your central nervous system.

🌀 Vitamin D and estradiol deficiency show to be a significant risk factor for BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo). Hormonal fluctuations may influence the inner ear fluids contributing to loose particles and recurrent vertigo.

Do you have a history of unexplained vertigo? Have a history of vitamin d deficiency? Let’s determine the best plan of care and take action! One simple consultation and lab work can determine your next step to a happier and safer you.

Who’s ready for a Fun Fact Friday: Hormone Edition?!

Last week our provider posted a fun fact about perimenopause and how this can affect your day to day life. There was a significant request for more so we decided to make our Fun Fact Friday a thing!

For our first post we would like to talk about the overall discussion of perimenopause.

✳️ Did you know 63% of women seek healthcare advice from friends versus a medical professional. This could be due to being apprehensive, not sure what to ask, or simply just a lack in communication or knowledge.

✳️ Evidence across several studies suggests a clear lack a formal education on the biological and psychological impacts of perimenopause and menopause, which can lead to worsening of symptoms.

✳️ This study suggests a need for more proactive and informative communication from healthcare professionals to better support women during this transition.

Ladies, ask those questions. Mention the random symptoms you are having. This strange symptom may be a sign of a hormone imbalance and can change your overall workup.

Questions? Call us. Labs can provide a significant amount of information and we can discuss your options. Our team would love to help!
