“I didn’t serve in combat, so I probably don’t qualify.” We hear this all the time. And it’s not true. The VA’s Aid and Attendance benefit does NOT require combat service, overseas deployment, or a service-connected disability. If the veteran served at least 90 days of active duty with one day during a wartime period, and now needs help with daily activities, they may qualify.

That includes veterans who served stateside. It includes surviving spouses. It includes more families than you think.💛

Some goodbyes are filled with tears… and so much love. 🤍
Today we celebrated one of our very special residents as she went home—stronger, healed, and surrounded by the people who have become her family.

There were hugs, laughter, a few happy tears, and so many sweet moments that remind us why we do what we do every single day. While our hearts will miss her presence in the Hive, we are overjoyed to see her begin this next chapter.

Once part of our Hive, always part of our family. 🐝💛

Sometimes leadership looks like policies… and sometimes it looks like sitting on the side of a bed, singing your heart out to someone who just needs a little comfort. 💛

Last night, my staff caught me having a moment with one of our residents who was feeling anxious and lonely. So I did what felt right—I sat beside him and sang “Crazy” by Patsy Cline. And for a few minutes, the world felt a little lighter.

Of course, my team couldn’t resist sneaking up and capturing it… and now they insist it needs to be shared. So here it is—real life at the Hive. 🐝

Our residents took aim and nailed it at our axe throwing competition today! Laughter, friendly competition, and a whole lot of bullseyes—safe to say we’ve found a new favorite activity around here. 🎯💛

Nothing like a little friendly competition to sharpen our skills and our teamwork! Our crew traded in clipboards for bullseyes and brought the energy, the laughs, and a whole lot of aim to in-service today. Safe to say… we’ve got some hidden talent in the Hive! 🎯💛

Because at BeeHive, we work hard—but we have FUN doing it!
