I had a new patient today, tell me that he didn’t know I was even here!

It’s been awhile since I’ve heard that. If you’ve had a good experience here, and would be willing to share, it would mean the world to me. It will also continue to help people find me, that may not realize I exist in Angier.

Google reviews are an enormous part of helping small businesses stay relevant in the ever changing landscape of Google. I encourage you to leave as many reviews as you possibly can for all the small businesses you visit. It’s free, it only takes a minute, and it provides more support that you know.

I’m going to have a slight change in schedule at least for the spring season due to kids sport schedules. Effective starting this week.

Mon and Thurs: 9am-4:30
Tues and Wed: 9am-6

I’ve always been terrible about asking for reviews, but hopefully this helps. I’ve got this to scan on your way out, and I’ve also got cards you can take with you and scan later.

If you’ve been a patient for years, you’ve likely heard the story about me getting my wife windshield wipers for Mother’s Day….every year.

She decided to return the favor, and get me car wash stuff….to wash her car. Clever move.

Happy Valentine’s Day this weekend!

A quick note about care at Move Chiropractic

I wanted to share a little context around an upcoming change. I've been having this conversation in office, but may not see everyone before the time comes.

Effective April 1st, the self pay rate will increase from $49 to $55, and new patient visits will increase from $100 to $112.

This decision wasn’t made lightly. Over the past few years, the cost of running the practice: rent, supplies, software, and day-to-day expenses has steadily increased. I’ve done my best to absorb those increases myself for as long as possible, but with looking at numbers for 2025 as a whole, the line has gotten very thin.

When it came time to reassess, I really have two options:

1) Shorten appointment times and increase volume (this one gives me shrinkflation vibes)

2) Maintain the same treatment standards and make a modest price adjustment

I chose the second.

I don’t want rushed visits, shorter treatment times, or an assembly-line approach to care. I believe good care takes time, and I’ve always been intentional about keeping visits unhurried, hands-on, and focused on results. This change allows me to continue providing the same level of care you’ve come to expect, without cutting corners.

Thank you for the trust you place in me and for supporting a small, local practice. If you have any questions, I’m always happy to talk, and If I missed the mark on this one, and you prefer shorter visits vs increased cost, please feel free to let me know!

Slight change of plans for next week. If you’ve been looking at my schedule for next week, and saw that Friday was the only availability, that will be expanding.

The incoming weather has delayed my plans, so there will be more availability opening up next week!

Courtesy of Widow’s Den Tattoo, the Christmas Halloween Ghost, is ready for Valentine’s Day!

I honestly, sometimes forget about the ghost because I see it everyday. I very rarely acknowledge it, unless somebody asks.

Very few new patients ask. It makes me genuinely curious, how many new patients come and go, and just accept that their chiropractor has a ghost hanging in the room. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

A list of some of the things I say daily:

"Let's have you start on your back"
"No, your other back"
"No, your other left"
"Does this feel like your headache?"
"That was my fingers cracking, doesn't count"
"ooh that was a good one!"
"Did you get to those intake forms I sent out yesterday?"
"It was the left side, right?"
"Let's have you roll over"
"Nope, face up"
"You didn't have time for the intakes? We can take care of it here"
"I suppose if you were doing better, you wouldn't be here?"
(Usually chuckling by myself for that one)
"oooh I've never heard of that. What is it?"
"Does it always move this much?"
"Holy moly, you've got good mobility here"
"Holy moly, your mobility needs some work here"
"We'll keep chipping away at it, as long as you keep improving"
" Let me know if we stop improving, we'll change gears and try something different"
"It's okay if you don't remember what to do. If I ever forget, then we've got a problem"
"Be a bobble head"
"Relax right here....and... sneak attack!"
"If it ain't broke, we're not going to try to fix it"
"lets have you take a lap and get some gravity back on it"
"take it for a test drive, see how it feels compared to when you got here"

By far the most common compliment I hear from patients is:
“I love the muscle work.”

And I hear the same thing from people who are just coming in to try me for the first time. I’m not trying to rush anyone through the door or see how many people I can stack in a day. It's a refreshing change of pace for many patients who have had regular chiropractic care in the past.

Now… on the other side of that coin...
Every once in a while someone comes in looking for a full-on WWE, from-the-top-rope, John Cena body-slam adjustment.

You will not find that here. Not because I can’t do it (this is debatable. I'm not a very big fella), but because I’d like to avoid injuring myself and you in the process. I'd rather send you out the door, feeling like we didn't do anything, vs sending you out feeling worse than when you walked in.

So if you’re looking for quality muscle work, I know a guy with a decent set of thumbs and a couple of "hurts so good" stretches.

If you’re looking for a wrestling match… I know a couple guys for that too, but it's not me.

Foundations Health & Wellness Chiropractic, don’t worry, you’re not on my list of John Cena’s.

I don’t lay on my own table very often.

I’ve only had 2 people ever request that I dim the light.

My New Year’s resolution: Quit blinding people with the light.

Holy Moly!
