As cases of influenza and other upper respiratory illnesses surge across our service areas, Cameron Health is taking proactive steps to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff members. Following thorough deliberation and consultation with healthcare experts, Cameron is setting new protocols aimed at mitigating the spread of these illnesses within our facilities.

Visitor guidelines vary across our facilities. At the Main Hospital, up to two visitors (ages 12 years or older) are permitted at a time per patient. In the Medical Office Building (MOB) and off-site clinics, there are no specific visitor restrictions, but patients are encouraged to limit guests when possible. Exceptions to the restrictions may be granted for end-of-life situations and other special circumstances.

Universal masking is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged throughout the hospital and other Cameron locations to help reduce the spread of upper respiratory illnesses. Notices will be posted at all patient and visitor entry points to help highlight current restrictions and the importance of mask usage, particularly for individuals experiencing flu-like symptoms.

These enhanced measures take effect today, Monday, January 12th, 2026.
