The other day, a patient grabbed a handful of business cards from the front desk on his way out. It took me longer than I'd like to admit to realize what he was doing.

Referrals are the highest compliment we receive, and we don't take that lightly. When you send a friend or family member our way, you're putting your name behind us and we want to make sure we always make you look good for doing that.

So thank you. Genuinely.

Had the chance to take the Oakley Meta Smart Glasses and Altius Performance Contact Lenses for a spin while I was in Arizona — hiking and golfing. Pretty good testing grounds.

The glasses capture hands-free video so you're never fumbling for your phone, and the Altius lenses are designed specifically for helping with light sensitivity on active days outside. Both held up.

What surprised a lot of people when I was on the course was that you can actually get smart glasses at your eye doctor. We carry both at Prairie View Eyecare if you want to check them out.

Heavy eyelids are something I hear about more than you might think. Sometimes it's just cosmetic, but a lot of the time people notice it affects how tired their eyes feel too.

We've been using OptiLift for a little while now — radiofrequency energy to tighten the skin around the eyelids, no surgery, no downtime. These are results after just one treatment. Peak effect usually comes around the third or fourth.

We've been waiting to share this one. I get migraines, and something that's made a real difference for me over the last few weeks are these Altius performance-tinted contact lenses. They filter over 99% of blue light, and when I feel a headache coming on, putting them in honestly feels like a release valve for all the pressure building in my head. They're single-use, so I just pop them in when I need them, especially on the bright sunny days outside.
