A study published in the Journal of Fisheries and Environment evaluated

the inclusion of 4.5% spray-dried plasma (SDP) in the diet of giant tiger shrimp (penaeus monodon) under commercial conditions. Even under challenging conditions, the data show that the strategic inclusion of SDP in shrimp diets can reduce bacterial pressure, strengthen immunity and improve feed conversion.

The randomized, double-blinded study evaluated a highly digestible prescription diet containing a unique blend of functional components, including plasma. Dogs fed the prescription diet showed faster improvements in stool quality and gut stability compared to a control diet.
