🍂🎃 What a spook-tacular week it’s been around here! Our community has been buzzing with flavor, fun, and fall spirit!

We kicked things off with a culinary demo that brought all the cozy fall flavors to life—pumpkin, spice, and everything nice. Then came our Halloween Happy Hour, complete with eerie-licious treats and lots of laughter.

Our Memory Care residents got hands-on with fall fun too, whipping up their very own haystacks—sweet, crunchy, and made with plenty of love (and a little bit of mischief). 🍫🌾

The fashionistas of the community then hit the runway for our Halloween Fashion Show, showing off frightfully fabulous looks that turned the community room into a spooky catwalk! 🧙‍♀️✨

And of course, no Halloween week would be complete without a little sugar and smiles! Our team did a Reverse Trick-or-Treat, delivering candy and cheer right to your doors. Then, we wrapped up the week with the cutest visitors ever—kids from a local daycare stopped by in costume for some classic trick-or-treating magic. 🍬👻

It’s safe to say: fall fun is in full swing here, and our hearts (and candy bowls) are full! ❤️

Tricks, Treats & Tees… Oh My! 👻🎃

We had an un-FORE-gettable time at our Tricks, Treats & Tees event! From spooky 6-hole mini golf to our festive Plinko game, every corner was filled with laughter, cheers, and just the right amount of mischief. 🏌️‍♂️💀

Our residents got into the Halloween spirit by handing out candy to our little trick-or-treaters—it was smiles all around as the kids joined in on the fun and got creative with their own crafts! 🍬🎨✨

We also enjoyed deliciously wicked hot cocoa crafted by our amazing culinary team, struck a pose at our frightfully fun photo op, and of course, showed off some seriously impressive costumes—including a giant sloth, a shark, a penguin, Frankenstein, and more! 🦥🦈🐧⚡

It was a day full of treats, laughter, and community spirit that made Halloween a true spooky success! 💜👏

💧 Happy National Healthcare Maintenance Week! 🚨 You won’t believe how we pranked our Maintenance Director! 😆

Today we’re shining a big, bright spotlight on Andrew, our amazing Dual Maintenance Director — the man who keeps Independence Village running safely, smoothly, and beautifully every single day! 👏

Andrew has impeccable attention to detail, a deep commitment to safety, and a genuine heart for our residents. He’s the first to jump in — whether it’s climbing up on the roof to dust the beams on Main Street, fixing showers, programming TV remotes, or putting together walkers for residents who need them. 🏡❤️

To show our appreciation, we decided to have a little fun! We told him there was a major leak and water was running all over the floor. 💦 When he came rushing in ready to fix it, he found Team Andrew instead — all of us wearing masks of his face! The “leak” turned out to be water bottles inside empty shoes on the bathroom floor, perfectly staged to look like they were “running.” 🤣

It gave us all a great laugh — and a perfect chance to show how much we appreciate everything Andrew does to make Independence Village feel like home for our residents, families, and team members.

Thank you, Andrew, for always going above and beyond — and for literally climbing to new heights to make our community shine every day! 🙌

What a fun few days it’s been! We celebrated our Life Enrichment Director’s wedding with a bouquet toss (and plenty of laughter)! 💍💐

We got creative making plaster canvases and even built our very own scarecrows to guard our new pumpkin patch! 🎃👩‍🌾🎨

To top it all off, Chef Geno treated us to a delicious fall spread — pumpkin bars, fresh apple slices, and his homemade apple cider caramel dip, perfectly paired with apple cider. 🍎🍂

☕🎨 Earlier this week, we kicked things off by celebrating National Coffee Day in the best way possible — painting our very own coffee mugs to sip from all season long!

Then, as October rolled in 🎃🍂, we kept the creativity flowing with some festive pumpkin painting. From spooky to silly, our pumpkins turned out just as unique as our mugs!

Fall fun is officially in full swing! 🍁✨
