Brooke Brock, MA CCC-SLP received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at the University of Northern Iowa. She has experience providing speech therapy for patients across the lifespan. She is passionate about helping others and always being willing to grow and learn new things!

In her free time, Brooke enjoys thrifting, reading, and spending time with her dogs, Oliver and Hazel. She got married in 2025 and lives in Huxley. We are so excited to have her on our team! ☺️

You’re invited!🎉

Help us celebrate our new office space by coming to our open house on Sunday, November 9th from 3-4:30 pm! We will have games, crafts, raffles, cookies, an inflatable and prizes to win! All are welcome— past, present or future clients, referral partners we work with, friends and family. The location of our new office is 1510 SW Oralabor Road, Suite B, Ankeny, IA 50023.

We ask those who are able to bring pantry items that we will collect at our open house and donate to a local food bank. If you do not feel able to give, no problem, it is not required to attend!

We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating Homegrown Kids Therapy (for the first time since we opened 2.5 years ago!)🥰

There’s something special about working with babies and getting to help families with such a critical piece of their child’s early months— how well they eat! 🍼

Tongue ties, bottle aversions, inefficient suck, incoordination, or weak oral motor skills for bottle feeding are all in our wheelhouse! If you know a baby who is struggling, refer them our way so we can help them too🫶🏻

A child’s phonological awareness skills is a good indicator of literacy success down the road. Proficiency in this skill, along with letter knowledge, print awareness, print motivation, and vocabulary are all foundational skills for great literacy skills!

Are you unsure about your child’s literacy skills? Ask yourself these questions below!

1. Can my child identify and label alphabet letters? And, match the corresponding sound for each letter?
2. Can my child identifying rhyming words?
3. Can my child blend sounds together?
4. If my child grabs a book, do they orientate the book correctly (e.g. title of the book on top rather than upside down)?
5. Does my understand that we read from top to bottom of a page, and left to right when reading sentences?
6. Is my child interested in and enjoy books and reading?
