One of the goals we have for Camp ReFresh is to give folks space: space to stretch out, space to be comfortable in, and space to explore. The Des Moines Y Camp is the PERFECT space for this. With multiple halls for folks to play games, updated cabins that feel like camp without feeling like 'roughing it' and lots spots that are perfect for holing up in, you'll always be able to find the right space for you, for whatever it is you want to do.

Looking for a quiet early morning game? Our sensory friendly hall will be ready for you. Want to play a story game around the campfire (or by the fireplace, if you're not feeling too outdoorsy?) most lodges have fireplaces, and there are fire pits aplenty. Need a quick nature break after an intense game? There's trails nearby waiting for you.

Space also allows us to bring out some unique experiences - games that need a forest at night, that require being around a crackling fire, or are best served by being played in a remote cabin. We're excited to share some experiences with you that just can't happen in other ways - and to make a space comfortable for YOU to be able to be a part of it.

My name is Charles Ericson, and I opened VisualEyes to serve the people of Ankeny and Central Iowa by offering a huge selection of frames, contact lenses and specialty eyewear. With over 35 years of experience in the optical business, I have had the pleasure of working with some of the finest ophthalmologists from the Des Moines and Ames areas.
