Join us for Balanced Beginnings, our postpartum and feeding support group at Balance Chiropractic & Wellness.

We offer free weighted feeds, basic breastfeeding guidance, and a welcoming space for connection. Whether you are breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, or formula feeding, you are invited and supported here.

Long labor. Fast labor. C-section. Vacuum. Sunny-side up.

Every birth leaves an imprint.

Even when everything goes “well,” babies can hold tension patterns in:

• The cranial bones
• The neck
• The jaw
• The upper cervical spine

You might notice:

• Head preference to one side
• Difficulty turning
• Flat spots beginning
• Trouble latching on one breast

Craniosacral therapy supports mobility of the cranial bones and soft tissues using light touch.

When we improve mobility, we often see improvement in comfort, symmetry, and feeding.

Babies are adaptable.
They just sometimes need help releasing what they’ve been holding.

If you’ve noticed head preference or asymmetry, early support matters.

My name is Dr. Jennifer Thompson, and I own Balance Chiropractic & Wellness in Ankeny, Iowa.

I’m a Family Wellness🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Chiropractor with an emphasis on pregnancy🤰, postpartum, and pediatric 👶👧👦 care.
I’m also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and love supporting moms in their breastfeeding journey!🤱👩‍🍼
I support both chiropractic and lactation with craniosacral therapy (CST)💆

Along with my husband, we spend time with our 3 daughters who love volleyball, dance, attending church and youth group, and our 3 dogs!🐶

I’m a proud Christian, and am active in our home church, serving on the Youth Board and church council ✝️
