Today I, Dr. Mandy, had the opportunity to step out of the clinic and into a 3rd grade classroom… and I loved every second of it 💛

We talked about entrepreneurship, building a business, and what it means to serve others well—all through a fun “Build a City” activity.

One of my favorite parts? Watching these kids light up as they realized:
👉 Every business plays a role
👉 Every person matters
👉 And even at a young age… they can start dreaming big

As a small business owner and mom, moments like this mean so much. Investing in the next generation is something I never want to take for granted.

And yes… we may have added an Eye Doctor Clinic to the city 😉👓

For 40 years Ankeny Family Vision Center has provided high quality eye care. We are committed to providing you with state-of-the-art technology and a dedicated team. AFVC is excited to announce the expansion of our clinical services with our Vision Therapy Clinic, Dry Eye Clinic and our Eye & Facial Spa.

We have a fantastic selection of over 1,000 frames in our gallery and are confident that we can meet the styles of anyone’s needs and budget. When you partner with AFVC you are also partnering with unique charities. Every pair of glasses purchased provides a meal to Feed My Starving Children.

We love caring for kids at AFVC! Our doctors and team have the experience and training needed to provide kids with a productive and enjoyable visit.
