Today, on Mother’s Day, I’m thinking of all the mothers and caretakers doing their best to balance raising children and building something of their own.

These days, “having it all” looks different for me. It means leaning on the people in my life—my friends, my family, and my incredible team—who help make this season possible.

There’s a lot of unseen work that goes into both parenting and running a business, and I’m grateful to be on this journey.

Have you heard 📢? We are introducing a new program at PTS called "The Self-Care Lab: Life Skills for Teens Group Therapy Program"! This skills-based group helps teens understand self-care beyond stereotypes and develop practical tools they can use in everyday life. Participants will build self-awareness, explore healthy coping strategies, and create a personalized self-care toolbox they can continue using after the group ends.

Ten years ago today, Pietruck Therapy Services didn’t start with a business plan or a growth strategy. It started with a belief: people deserve thoughtful, ethical, and compassionate mental health care—a place where clients receive nothing but a WOW experience, feel seen, supported, and safe enough to do the hard work of healing.

As we look ahead to the next 10 years, our commitment to ethical care, meaningful connection, and meeting people where they are continues to guide everything we do. Thank you for celebrating our 10-year anniversary with us 🥳! Let’s keep strolling down memory lane—onto years 5 through 10!

Continuing our walk down memory lane! 2021 marked a deeply special full-circle moment, as two of my former graduate students earned their licensure and joined the practice in April and May. We also welcomed a second UM social work graduate student! 2022 marked a defining chapter. PTS hired its first limited license provider, formally named supervisors within the practice, and we also took a major step forward with the purchase of a building in Saline to officially set up our second location. In 2023, after 7.5 years in business, we celebrated the official grand opening of our Saline location and saw Megan transition into a full-time office manager role, strengthening the operational heart of PTS. We introduced “Slice of Pie” in March 2024, our monthly newsletter focused on connection, education, and community. Around the same time, clinical leads were promoted within the team to support onboarding, quality assurance, and EHR systems. One of our most exciting achievements in 2025 was receiving the “Community Votes Winner” in Therapy and Counseling—a recognition rooted in community trust. In January 2026, PTS began accepting Blue Care Network insurance, widening access to therapy services. Today, PTS is a team of 26 clinicians and staff—and growing!

Tomorrow, we’ll come together as a team to celebrate our accomplishments, honor the milestones we’ve reached, and recognize everyone who has supported us along the way. My heart is full with gratitude knowing that your support is what has led to our 10-year anniversary. Thank you to our community for having the confidence in the care that we are providing to you and your loved ones!

Please help us give Nicole a warm welcome to the PTS Team 🌟!

Nicole has spent the last 20 years of her career in the public school setting, working with children and teens in grades K-12. She worked as the Student Assistance Coordinator, supporting students and families in need, including those facing crises, mental health challenges, and substance abuse. During that time, Nicole also gained experience in the clinical setting, working with individuals, families, and adults. In addition, her career has taken a journey in the court system, working with teens and families struggling with mental health and substance abuse.

Nicole now centers her focus on working with adolescents and adults struggling with challenges to provide an improved overall healthy self and looks forward to having the opportunity to work together with her clients toward change. Nicole’s style as a therapist is relaxed, interactive, mindful, challenging, and supportive. She genuinely loves her work and strives to provide the highest level of support in order to guide her clients to make their own discoveries of self-worth and endurance in all of life’s circumstances. Fun fact: Nicole is also a yoga instructor and loves incorporating yoga principles into her work with her clients.
