This is your reminder to return to your home program of stretching and strengthening. Spring is here and beautiful. We have been doing yard work, gardening (hello fresh strawberries) and returning to outdoor exercise. Typically when we start this seasonal work we stop our typical stretching and strengthening that helps to keep us moving. Don’t stop your home program. This is meant to keep you doing the things you LOVE (gardening) and the things you don’t love (weeding, digging, mowing.)

Our organs have nerve connections to the spine, routing back to the spinal cord and eventually the brain. Sometimes the pain in your back or the limitation in your movement can be coming from the organ’s restriction or inability to slide and glide. This is where visceral manipulation comes in. Using the work of Dr. Jean-Pierre Barral, taught through the Barral Institute, we can manipulate those restricted areas to optimize the visceral environment in the abdomen and hence the communication back to the spine. This will further quiet those nerves that are restricted, painful or just talking loudly.
