Pelvic Floor Research Group (PFRG) - University of Michigan The Pelvic Floor Research Group (PFRG) is an interdisciplinary research team working to improve the understanding and treatment of pelvic floor disorders.

The Pelvic Floor Research Group at the University of Michigan Health System is an internationally recognized research group working to improve the understanding and treatment of pelvic floor disorders. The PFRG is an interdisciplinary assemblage of U-M providers and researchers. Our lines of investigation include Pelvic Organ Prolapse,
Urinary Incontinence, Fecal Incontinence, and Birth-Related Injuries.

She received the 2019 Camille Mrozowski Award for Service Excellence in Research in recognition of her exceptional job performance and her deep commitment to the success of the ObGyn research mission. The PFRG's partner and friend Dr. Denis Mukwege from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nadia Murad from Iraq were awarded the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize for their work to highlight and eliminate the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war.

Young women with simple pregnancies can safely ask a doctor to induce labor, a study finds. It doesn't increase their risk of needing a C-section after all and can even offer potential benefits.
