This timely training will explore the many ways that immigration raids impact young people physically, emotionally, and mentally, drawing on real-life stories of youth from across the U.S. A legal expert will also give a "know your rights" overview, giving practical tips on recognizing different types of warrants, protecting client confidentiality, and responding effectively to protect youth in a variety of health care settings.

Registration is now open for our upcoming virtual training, Policy to Practice: Championing Gender-Affirming Care on June 24, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. EDT.

This CE-eligible training will help providers and advocates navigate the challenges of legislation and care bans while supporting transgender, intersex, and non-binary youth. Experts from the Michigan ACLU, National Center for Law, and the University of Michigan Child and Adolescent Gender Services program will review recent legislation, offer strategies for addressing misinformation, and share best practices for creating safer, affirming spaces in clinical and community settings for youth.
