Early this morning, the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners approved the policy framework for the Older Persons Millage. After months of robust working sessions and regular board meetings, we can now hire a director to lead the Washtenaw County Office of Aging.

None of this would be possible without the hard work and determination of the Say Yes to Seniors coalition. For over a decade, they made the case for why Washtenaw County should be better prepared to deal with our ever-growing aging population. Thank you for caring so deeply about some of our most vulnerable neighbors!
