By this point we've all heard about the One Big Beautiful Bill Act – the name given to the 2025 Federal Budget Reconciliation Bill.

The Act, signed into law by President Trump on July 4, 2025, includes large reductions in spending and key changes to health and social care programs including Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act insurance exchanges, and food and nutrition programs such as SNAP.

Here are our suggestions to stay informed on how the bill will affect Washtenaw County.
