So often we overcomplicate it…overanalyze…separate the parts trying to fix them. But what we try to fix persists and what we meet with love opens up. It’s really quite easy—the body WANTS to be at ease. It takes practice to feel safe and truly RECEIVE. When the body knows it is safe, then it can enter a state of deep relaxation—the parasympathetic nervous system response where healing occurs. Chronic tension is held in the nervous system, so let’s go there. Contact the space and let it unwind. A reminder that you are already whole. During a healing session, I lend my own nervous system. Our nervous systems are always communicating with each other. I’ve been on the healing path so mine can say, “we are safe here.” Take this feeling on the table and bring into your life. It does take practice.
