I’m saddened to share that visa processing has been halted for 75 countries, including Thailand. We are 1.5+ years into the process of adopting a little girl from Thailand and this mandate indefinitely suspends our own adoption as well as all others in process from any of the counties on this list.

There is currently no language in this order for exemptions. If you are in the US, please consider following this link. It will generate a letter that will be sent to your reps & senator. If you cannot send a letter, please consider sharing this post so that we can spare my daughter and so many other children from harm and unnecessary delays. International adoptees undergo a very long waiting period to ensure there are no families in their home country able or willing to adopt them. I’m asking for help in advocating on their behalf. May language be added to this mandate so that they can still obtain visas and follow the established pathways to safely and legally find their forever homes 🤍

So many of you have reached out and I know our daughter and family are surrounded by so much love. Thank you! I will update with any action items/ways you can help here. Please share and please send letters at the link below:

We need to train our pregnant athletes for the position that they are going to spend 9 months in and the long-term changes associated with these demands.

Imagine if you were told someone was going to strap a growing 🎳bowling ball to your stomach while you ran for the next 9 months. Wouldn’t you want to train for it?!

I find people are being chronically underloaded in pregnancy for the things they are doing or want to be doing with a lack of guidance that has them feeling lost, broken, fragile or injured and I believe we can help our clients modify their movements based on their own unique needs so that they can make decisions about how to move their body from an empowered place.

Our spines were made to move. Don’t let the planks, side planks, anti-extension and rotation exercises get all of the attention. We know that the spine extends more in pregnancy and it is time to factor this change in demand into our clients training and rehab programs.

Swipe through for more thoughts for yourself or for your clients. You deserve to feel strong and connected to your body through its many changes

Leaving Colorado with a happy heart and calm mind. I found plenty of time to soak up the mountain air, see some of my favorite people, and to learn from one of the best at what they do .

You know you have found a great teacher and mentor when they are continuously tweaking and fine tuning their own craft, questioning their own hypotheses and the conclusions they draw from them, and are far more concerned with helping you develop a better process and way of thinking than a specific way of doing. You are giving people their power back. The gears are already turning on all of the ways I can continue to refine how I do that for all of my people 🤍

Thank you Austin, Eli, Alex, and Aaron for spending your weekend teaching and learning alongside of me. I learned so much from all of you. You are all changing the game in ways only you can and I am better for getting to be a part of the energy and space we shared this weekend.

Excited to see my boys tonight and to get back in the clinic tomorrow. So long for now Colorado but I will be back. The mountains are always calling 🗻🥰

No matter if you are having a PR track season, are dealing with an injury or the season is not going as you had hoped, this workshop is for you if you want to learn key strategies to become the best runner that you can be and to be a leader on your team for seasons to come.

For some, this workshop will be the perfect nudge to work on an your area of weakness over the summer and for others it will be the permission slip that you need to pull training back in specific areas so that you can toe the starting line strong and confident when it counts at your A races this fall.

You can prioritize getting the most out of yourself and your training now and set yourself and your body up for success for years to come. This gets to be fun. See details below and share with your hs runners and coaches. I hope you will join me.

xo,

~Nancy

Wrapped up eating disorder awareness week by sharing some of my own story and my professional expertise on how to best support female bodied athletes through puberty . Thanks so much for having me! It is so encouraging to see conversations like these prioritized and I truly believe it is 🔑 to developing strong and confident athletes that can be competitive in their sports now and enjoy them for LIFE 💖

Leaving you with a few of the messages shared that I think apply to all athletes - no matter your shape, your size or your ability level - and to all of those supporting them. May you soar!

Sending a quick reminder that you are worthy and deserving of the time and space to heal, even if the timeline doesn’t look like the one you expected or were told to believe. You deserve a medical provider(s) who will metaphorically and physically dig through the layers of your symptoms, fear and the trauma that your previous experiences may have caused.

Trust your body and your instincts. You aren’t broken, weak or less worthy and it certainly isn’t all in your head - whatever the he🏒🏒 that even means.

Share your stories with your family, friends, and your medical providers. I believe that change comes with us all doing our part to amplify the voices of those who have been silenced and to trust and deeply believe in the value of our own. I will never stop fighting for you 👊 ♥️🫶

Yes building mileage is important when planning your return to racing BUT too often, I see this build of mileage take priority over preparing the muscles, tendons, ligaments and bones for fast running again. The smoothest path forward is often one in which you feel at home in your body and running stride first before putting tons of mileage in the books.

Every new parent’s return to running looks different. How you trained during pregnancy, how your labor went, how your body is healing postpartum, and the time you have available for rehab and training all play a role in shaping the timeline and path forward that is going to work best for you!

Honor where your body is at and remember quality > quantity friends.

Cheering you on, always. May you soar!
