Have you fasted for more than 2 days before? Could you feel the benefits from it? If you haven't ever fasted this long, do you think you might want to try?
Prolonged fasting (longer than 2 days) induces autophagy, which is a process of cellular rejuvenation. This is one of the many reasons we hold fasting retreats for 3 days! Some people also choose to fast during our 2 week retreat sessions, for 3 or more days. Having a doctor (or 2!) keeping an eye on how your fast is going gives a lot of people that extra boost of courage to go ahead and try it.
