The Healthy Minds Network (HMN) is a research organization which aims to protect and promote the mental health and well-being of adolescents and young adults. HMN’s leadership is based at the University of Michigan, University of California-Los Angeles, Boston University, and Wayne State University. HMN aims to connect students, faculty, administrators, counselors, clinicians, researchers and other stakeholders in the interest of building a strong network capable of making significant, evidence-based advancements in the field of student mental health. Our current projects include:
Healthy Minds Study (HMS)--an annual web-based survey examining mental health, service utilization, perceptions of campus climate, and related factors in colleges and universities. HMS currently conducts a student survey examining these objects in undergraduate and graduate students and a faculty survey focusing on these objectives in employees. Healthy Minds Study for Secondary Schools (HMS2)--a web-based survey examining mental health, service utilization, and related factors among secondary school students. Piloted in the 2020-2021 academic year, this novel study aims to assess student mental health among high school populations. iAIM EDU-- NIH R01-funded study that aims to test whether a mobile mental health platform, compared to referral to usual care, is associated with improved uptake and symptoms.
