STTI is a global community of nurse leaders with members belonging to 486 chapters who live in more than 85 countries. We represent the mission of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing: to support the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health worldwide. Rho Chapter supports the scholarship and professional development of our members and offers opportunities to be active in our chapter through leadership, service, mentorship, and continuing education events. Membership is by invitation to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and leadership and to nurse leaders exhibiting exceptional achievements in nursing.

A sincere thank you for the wonderful support of our Whitmore Lake Food Drive. We collected a truck load of donations from the School of Nursing drop off sites. Amazon donations filled several tables and $1,200 was given in direct donations. Whitmore Lake Human Services is so very grateful for your generosity.

Sigma Rho chapter is partnering with Nursing Student Government and UM Student Nurses association for our holiday food drive. All donations will benefit Whitmore Lake Area Human Services Food Pantry, serving needy residents in the Whitmore Lake area. We are focusing on kitchen staples (flour, sugar, baking supplies, etc.), cleaning & personal care supplies, and non-perishable food--items most needed at this time. Collection ends November 21, 2025

Implicit Bias in Nursing:Advancing Culturally Competent Care
November 4th, 2024 from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

For more than three decades, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer has united communities to save lives, honor loved ones, and work toward ending breast cancer as we know it for everyone.
Sigma Rho is hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser during the week of October 20. Our team goal is $1000 for the American Cancer Society’s walk in Ann Arbor.
Two ways to donate:
Monday, Oct. 20, from 11 AM–12:30 PM 426 NIB (Main Lobby Atrium).

Every treat sold supports life-saving research, patient programs, and a stronger community united against breast cancer. Venmo or cash will be acceptable payment methods!

For more than three decades, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer has united communities to save lives, honor loved ones, and work toward ending breast cancer as we know it for everyone.
