Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can quickly reverse an opioid overdose by restoring normal breathing.

It works by blocking the effects of opioids in the brain—but it has no impact on someone without opioids in their system and is not a treatment for opioid use disorder.

Ann Arbor CTC had the honor of hosting State Rep. Morgan Foreman and State Rep. Carrie Rheingans for a tour and discussion on the vital role of opioid treatment programs (OTPs) in Michigan.

Regional Director Camilla Wisbauer and Clinic Director Kenneth Hammond shared insights on the lifesaving impact of treatment and the ongoing barriers patients face in accessing care.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to highlight this important work and continue the conversation around expanding access to recovery.

To honor Mental Health Awareness Month, our clinic hosted a special event for patients—starting the day with a pancake breakfast and wrapping up with a BBQ in the parking lot.

Staff and patients came together to enjoy good food, great music, and meaningful conversations about the importance of mental health. It was a powerful reminder that connection and community play a vital role in the recovery journey.
