Featuring Thrive Massage LMT: Michelle Roman (she/her)

Michelle joined Thrive in April 2023.

Michelle has spent much of her professional life working closely with clients in a wellness environment. After a 13 year career as an esthetician and cosmetologist she shifted her focus to Massage Therapy.

She attended the 13 month program at the Adrian School of Massage and graduated in November of 2022. Michelle explains, “I went through rigorous programs that heavily focused on therapeutic massage techniques. I have been thoroughly trained in advanced Neuromuscular Therapy techniques and Myofascial Release. I like to integrate relaxation techniques with neuromuscular therapy and myofascial to achieve both pain relief and pain management. I started as a massage therapist in a chiropractic office, focusing on helping clients with severe impingements find relief through massage and suggestions of exercises and stretches to perform at home to help get to the root cause of their pain, in hopes to completely relieve their discomfort.”

Michelle is highly skilled at providing deep detailed work along with relaxation massage. She brings Neuromuscular Therapy back to the menu at Thrive Massage Ann Arbor as well as introducing our clientele to Hot Stone Massage. In her free time Michelle is an aerialist and is also heavily involved in Greyhound rescue.
Michelle is available at Thrive on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Her offerings include: Relaxation, Craniosacral Therapy, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial, Prenatal and Hot Stone. She also offers 120-minute sessions.

Aric joined Thrive in March 2023

Aric brings over 17 years of experience in healthcare and has a full understanding of the therapeutic process.

In 2008 Aric received an Associate of Applied Science from Baker College to become a Physical Therapy Assistant. He eventually discovered hands-on massage and bodywork was his passion and he pursed his Massage Therapy degree from Irene’s Myomassology Institute in 2011.

In addition to his work as an LMT he also brings a wealth of knowledge from his education and experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). Over the years Aric has worked in a variety of healthcare settings as a PTA, Director of Rehab, and LMT.

He is a highly skilled bodyworker that seeks to administer treatment to patients and clients with problems related to the neuromuscular systems. He utilizes measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and circulatory efficiency.

He is committed to providing exceptional bodywork, client care and customer service at Thrive. Aric’s goal during his client sessions is to increase range of motion, mobility, apply Sport Massage Therapy as well as deeper Therapeutic Massage.

He is available at Thrive on Monday’s, Wednesday’s, Thursday’s and Saturday’s and also offers 120-minute sessions.

As a Somatic-Healing Arts Practitioner, Jaclyn is committed to bringing a blend of evidence-based and trauma-informed methods to the core of each client-centered session. Knowing that all individuals face different barriers to health depending on their background and lived experiences, it is important that all clients feel safe, seen and held with compassion and understanding for the whole story of who they are, and their bodies tell that story.

An interest in supporting others to become aware of their bodies holding patterns and offering relief through therapeutic touch & empathetically attuned presence is what drove her to study Massage Therapy. She hopes her commitment to continued education and heart-centered advocacy with individuals on their health journey can ultimately lead to greater positive ripples in community spaces.

Jaclyn’s approach is heavily influenced by a deep curiosity in the metaphysical, knowing that our physical bodies emulate from that of our energetic anatomy. She bridges the gap between the physical and the metaphysical by forming a functional, somatic-based approach to care. This is informed from years of experience and education, coming from a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University, as well as years serving others as a Yoga Instructor, Personal Trainer/Exercise Physiologist, and Integrative Health Coach.

Jamaal’s massage style is best described as: advanced deep tissue with a Swedish massage base gives the perfect blend of relaxation and therapeutic.
Services include: Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Sport, Chair Massage, Focused work on Hands/Feet and Head/Neck/Shoulders.

Specific work included in Deep Tissue includes: trigger point, myofascial, positional release and muscle energy.

Camiron Andrews (she/her) LMT

Camiron is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (BCTMB), with a passion for holistic healing and the mind-body connection. She began her journey at Irene’s Myomassology Institute in 2019, and have since earned a bachelor’s degree in Massage Therapy with a minor in Psychology.
She is deeply commited to her massage practice and offering Thrive clients the best service. Her massage style combines deep work with relaxation and she brings a wealth of knowledge from her previous experience working with an integrative wellness team at Henry Ford Medical.

Camiron’s approach integrates both scientific understanding and intuitive care, drawing from her training in myofascial release, Thai massage, and therapeutic techniques honed during her time at Henry Ford Health.

Currently, Camiron is expanding her practice through graduate studies in Art Therapy and Counseling at Wayne State University, deepening her ability to support clients’ well-being on multiple levels.

Beyond the massage room, Camiron is a visual artist and hobby herbalist who finds inspiration in nature and the quiet company of her two cats. She believes in creating a healing space that honors each person’s unique story, offering therapeutic touch that supports both relaxation and restoration.
