We’re excited to announce the launch of the Adolescent Bariatric Surgery Collaborative (ABSC), a new quality improvement initiative proudly developed as a branch of the Michigan Bariatric Surgery Collaborative (MBSC).

This national collaborative brings together surgeons and clinical teams from across the United States to advance safe, effective, and evidence-based bariatric surgery for adolescents.

The OMA has partnered with the Obesity Action Coalition and the Found Weight Loss Program to launch the OMA and OAC Obesity Medicine Scholarship Program!

Funded by Found, the scholarship will award a $5,000 scholarship to two physicians to cover ABOM registration fees, a one-year membership to the OMA, registration for OMA's Annual Conference and the Review Course for the ABOM Exam in April, and a travel stipend.
