🥳 Time to party!!! 🎉
Today, we’re celebrating our whole team on Certification Nation Day - both the therapists/clinical team that you’ve trusted with your biggest hopes, dreams, and goals as well as your darkest fears and past traumas, but also the people behind the scenes. Jenny, who’s the first to (virtually!) welcome you to Reset as you begin scheduling your intake appointment. Melissa, who works tirelessly to keep our offices cozy, smelling good, and stocked full of snacks. And so many more - including me, Ana, the person behind this account.
Believe it or not, but we’re actually real life humans who love laughing with our pets and families, blasting Taylor Swift, running, dancing, and moving, and indulging in a big bowl of mint chip ice cream from time to time. Just like you, we have good days and bad days.
However, at the end of each day, we find ourselves grateful for this milestone because being a Great Place to Work is more than a certification for us - it’s a testament to the community we’ve built. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for choosing us for your therapy services and mental health needs. Your presence brings endless meaning to our days and lives!

Want to know a secret? 🤫
There are real, actionable, and research-backed ways to reset your nervous system in moments where your emotions might feel too overwhelming to handle.
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) provides body-based tools such as the TIPP method that can help you better manage and regulate your emotions - from stress or anxiety to anger and beyond.
The TIPP method consists of:
🧊 T - Temperature (ex: holding an ice pack)
🏃♀️ I - Intense Movement/Exercise
🧘♂️ P - Paced Breathing
💪 P - Paired Muscle Relaxation
to leave you feeling more like your self in minutes (or even seconds)!
Reset therapist Maddy Hunwick, LMSW specializes in offering a DBT-based approach to her adolescent, teen, and young adult clients. Click the link in our bio today to learn more about how you can benefit from DBT and begin working with Maddy!

🍁 This fall, show some love to your friends and neighbors.
Connection is the antidote to loneliness, which several psychologists consider to be a major risk factor for mental health struggles.
This October, we hope you’ll find time for community - maybe by coming out to one of the events listed in this post! Remember, we heal better together. 💙

📸 just a few snapshots from our september!
Join us in slowing down and reflecting on the past month. Here’s a few more therapeutic journaling prompts to get you started:
- In which moments were you most present?
- What would you change if you were to live this month over again?
- Who was your best conversation with?
- Where did your most peaceful moments happen? Your most joyful moments? Your moments of most growth?
- How did you nourish your body, mind, and soul this month? How can you bring more of that into October?
- What role did breath, movement, and play have in your life this past month? What types of breath, movement, and play felt good in your body? What would change if you made time for that more often?
- Take a tool from Kerry and sit with and notice the following: a helpful tool/tip you used recently, something you’re grateful for, a new idea you learned about, and a few of the emotions that you’re feeling.

Are you ready to experience mental health care differently?
We are an integrative mental health care practice in Plymouth, Michigan and operating online.
The root of integrative is integral, meaning “to render (something) whole, bring together the parts of”. And that’s exactly what we do at Reset. We look at your mental health as a whole, considering stressors, trauma, fitness, diet, sleep patterns, work/school, physical ailments, relationships and transitions in your life. By looking at the sum of the parts, you can be certain that your mental well-being becomes part of a lifestyle shift (or reset!), not just a quick fix or an isolated perspective.
We then take it one step further. We know that to address the contributing parts of your mental health, we must take approaches that allow you to tap into both your body and your mind. Therefore, we incorporate tools like mindfulness meditation, yoga, art, play and nutrition into the mental health care experience.
Integrative for us means a truly well-rounded approach to your mental well-being.
