When the United States was a fledging nation without a constitution or governing laws Benjamin Franklin went to the Iroquois Federation and learned their ways of governing such a large group of people. He was so impressed that he brought back to the founding fathers the Iroquois way of governing and they were adopted as the law (with a few tweaks) of the land. When the chiefs of the Iroquois were invited to see the final product they asked “where are the women”? For in the US constitution and governing laws there were no provisions for women nor were women given a say in the day to day workings of this new country. The Chief’s response to this was “ we consult the mothers, the grandmothers and our women as they are wise and and full of knowledge. We men may hunt and we may engage in war but not without consulting and listening to the women for they have the knowledge.” It takes equality and inclusiveness to make for a successful and peaceful community, everyone has value and can be a benefit to society!

Have you noticed the changing colors of the leaves? Have you noticed the sun getting lower in the sky much earlier than before? Have you noticed the winds of change upon us and the clearness and blueness of the sky? Have you noticed how Mother Earth flows into each season with ease and grace? She doesn’t fight the changes upon her as she has complete faith that the changes will be for her highest and best good. Seasons come and seasons go. This is the flow of nature and with each season comes the promise of what was left behind will stay behind. Each of us has the opportunity to create something radiant with each new season, to say goodbye to the past and to look in wonderment for what awaits. Be as the beings of nature and fall into a graceful dance of allowance and surrender to the subtle guidance of the universe. And so it is!

Shamanic Practitioner classes are coming March 2025 at Mindful Living in Paducah Kentucky!!! This will be a 14 month immersion of sacred ceremonies and teachings of shamanism. There will be a prerequisite class of learning to journey to the spirit world on January 26. There are six spots available and I will need to have a firm commitment by December 15, 2024. You are the sky, you are the moon, you are the sun, you are the stars and so much more. You are the wind, you are the water, you are the earth and so much more. You are the atoms you are the molecules of all of life and so much more. You can be found in the vast expansiveness of the universe and so much more. You Are because there Is! Therefore what Is you Are!! Live in peace, live in harmony, live in joy and Be love for that is all that really Is and therefore you Are! And so it is!

You must experience your own vision of who you are, not someone else’s vision of the world as they see it. Each individual must have their own direct experience for it to be meaningful and to give vision of moving into the greater light of being. And so it is!

Fear is manifested where fear is sought. If you look for this harmony, you will find it. Peace is elusive if you engage in suspicion, fear, and lower level thoughts/beliefs. Look beyond the perspective of the worldly chatter. Place your faith in the hands of the divine. Are you adding fear or contributing to balance in the world? And don’t is!

Beautiful morning for a water blessing. We were joined in ceremony with some kayakers!! It was a wonderful way to start the day and I have so much gratitude for this land. Consider joininf us in November for the blessing of the waters. Nasigwo Winigalsd.

The Full Hunters (supermoon) Moon will be Wednesday, October 16th at 5 PM. The Hunters Moon represents the changing of seasons, in the past it was the time for hunting before the winter came. In these times, the hunters moon represents the need for you to prioritize personal goals, to do the deep internal work of self reflection. Come and join us in ceremony and celebration of this time that we have together on this earth. To be with those divine energies that encourage us to step beyond the illusion that we’re living in.
