You’ve heard me preach about fl**ge sizing. Ni**le shields should match that!

🌟 Sizing and type of your shield matters! You want your shield to be comfortable and efficient while in use, as your fl**ge size should be!
🌟 Work with an IBCLC while using a ni**le shield as shields are not a long term solution. This will help you protect your milk supply while using a shield and create a plan for weaning from it.
🌟 Proper application is key!
1. Flip the tip of the shield halfway inside out.
2. Place your ni**le into the tip of the shield
3. Allow it to slowly evert while placing shield flush along your areola/breast.
* This will help create a better seal and your shield should not move around as easily.

Every ounce of breastmilk contains over three million germ killing cells. Even if you only give baby an ounce or two a day - it is still an important thing for baby’s health. Immune factors increase in late-stage lactation, so breastmilk is still beneficial as baby gets older. Don’t underestimate the power of breastmilk! 👶🏼🍼
