A period of excessively hot and humid conditions is expected Sunday through the end of next week. Daily heat indices in the afternoons and evenings are expected to range from 100-110°F, with temperatures potentially reaching up to 115°F. Make sure you are prepared for the excessive heat by learning to recognize the signs of heat illness, staying hydrated, and identifying places in your community where you can go to get cool. Do You Need Help Navigating Medicare?

The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities SHIP office is here to help! The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) provides FREE, unbiased counseling and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries and their families.

They will distribute gun cases and educational resources at specific library locations on the dates listed. In addition, they will host a powerful community event on Jun 5th focused on gun violence prevention.

A Call to Artists
For The 2025 Nina De Angelo Artists Without Limits Exhibit

A public art exhibition celebrating artists with disabilities in Anne Arundel County. The 2025 theme is The Power of Inclusion.

To apply, submit an application online at: https://artscouncilofannearundelcountynew.submittable.com/submit. To apply by mail or to get more information, please call (410) 222-4383. All accepted artworks will be featured in the in-person art exhibit in July 2025. Each artist may submit up to three (3) works of art for consideration.

Submissions will be accepted from April 1, 2025 to June 6, 2025.
