👉👈 Spiritual bypassing vs. self-honoring — can you tell the difference?

🌟 What Is Spiritual Bypassing?
Spiritual bypassing happens when we:
Avoid conflict by “rising above it”
Shame ourselves for feeling sad, angry, or anxious
Use meditation or prayer to escape, not explore
Pretend everything is “love and light” when we’re hurting
Dismiss trauma with spiritual platitudes
Judge others (or ourselves) for not “vibrating high enough”
Instead of helping us grow, spiritual bypassing often leaves us feeling invalidated, disconnected, or secretly ashamed for not being “enlightened enough.”

🌟 What Self-Honoring Looks Like
Self-Honoring includes your pain. It says:
“It’s okay to not be okay.”
“Your sadness is sacred.”
“Your anger makes sense.”
“You can grow with your wounds, not just after them.”
This kind of healing creates space for honesty, compassion, and integration. It doesn’t rush you. It honors your humanity.

You Don’t Have to Hide Behind Positivity.

Have you ever had a quiet nudge…
A knowing you couldn’t explain?

A whisper that said “rest”, “speak”, “leave”, or “leap” —
…only to be drowned out by the louder voice that said:
“Be realistic.”
“Don’t be dramatic.”
“What will people think?”
“You’re being selfish.”

That louder voice is your ego.
It’s not your enemy — it’s your protector.
It learned early on what to do to keep you safe, accepted, and successful.

But here’s the thing:
Your ego is wired for survival.
Your soul is wired for truth.
And sometimes, healing means learning to tell the difference.
To pause before the override.
To ask, “Who’s speaking right now — fear or wisdom?”
At every stage of the journey, your Inner-Source - your Soul-Wisdom is still speaking.
You haven’t lost it. You’ve just learned to tune it out.

Self-criticism is a multifaceted phenomenon that persists and doesn’t simply fade away with time, however, it is possible to diminish it. A crucial first step in facilitating change involves people becoming aware and comprehending the origins, styles, and functions of their self-criticism.
