05/27/2020
On behalf of the Encompass PT team, we want to update you again on the upcoming changes that will be taking place. On 5/6/2020, Gov. Hogan announced the resumption of elective and non-urgent medical services by hospital and licensed medical health care providers. Beginning June 1 our office will be ready to once again treat those patients that we have had to withhold treatment from. While this is good news, we tread lightly knowing that the state is just now entering stage 1 of the recovery program. This means that the stay at home order has now been changed to a safer at home public health advisory. Please be mindful that although the state is entering stage 1, many counties, including Anne Arundel, are not. Please take your decision to return to PT seriously. The risks of contracting COVID-19 still exist. Your decision to return means that you feel that the benefits of physical therapy outweighs this risk.
Our clinic has always practiced infection control policies and cleaning between patients. This will continue to remain as vigilant as it has always been. In addition, all staff will now take their temperature daily before arriving to work and will be wearing an N95 mask at all times.
Here are the procedures that will now take place should you have an appointment:
• When you arrive, park in the lot to the right side of the building. Please park close to the clinic side door.
• Do not come in. Call the office at (410)266-1500 to let us know that you have arrived for your appt. Co-pays/balances will be collected by the front desk at this time via phone
• We will ask you several screening questions related to COVID-19
o Are you experiencing any fever, cough, shortness of breath?
o Are you experiencing any other symptoms that seem like flu or pneumonia in nature?
o Have you traveled out of the state or out of the country in the past 14 days?
o In the past 14 days, have you or anyone you have been with, had any contact with someone who may have or has been diagnosed with COVID-19?
If you answer yes to any of these questions, your appointment and successive appoints will be cancelled for the next 2.5 wks.
• Remain in your car. We will call you when your therapist is ready for you.
• All patients will be required to bring a mask to wear.
• Infrared forehead temperatures will be taken before entering the clinic.
• You will then head straight to the break room and wash your hands for 20+ sec. before heading to the therapist’s designated treatment room.
We remain humbled by your loyalty, and we take our responsibility to you, our patients very seriously. Please know that we are here for you. Should the need arise due to a status change, or maybe just a mere question, please do not hesitate to contact your therapist either via email at encompasspt@gmail.com or call us at (410)266-1500. Your health & your concerns remain our top priority.
We will continue to operate under guidelines set forth by Maryland Governor Hogan. We are continuing to implement policies and procedures to minimize viral exposure to both patient and staff. This situation is ever evolving so we will do our absolute best to notify our patients of any changes.
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and cooperation. We look forward to seeing you again.
Wishing you our very best,
Elaina and Christine
