Rehab Services is a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Provider strategically located between Washington DC, Annapolis and Baltimore. We currently provide CPM Machines for the Knee Joint, Shoulder Joint and Elbow Joint. Knee CPM Machines are most often prescribed after a Total Knee Replacement to help restore range of motion, prevent scar tissue and help reduce swelling. Other indications for the use
of a Knee CPM are Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) repair, Microfracture surgery, Genzyme Carticel® procedures, DeNovo® NT Natural Tissue Graft, Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA) and Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF) of intra-articular bone fractures, to name a few. Shoulder CPM's are most often prescribed after Rotator Cuff Repair, Total Shoulder Replacement and after a Shoulder Release (frozen shoulder). They are designed to increase and maintain range of motion. Elbow CPM's are indicated for the treatment of injuries and diseases of the elbow that limit movement of the joint. Post-operative treatment using this device provides an effective deterrent to stiffness and loss of range of motion. Indications include the following: Surgical releases, Synovectomies, Arthroplasty, Open reduction and internal fixation of intra-articular fractures, Contusions, Flexor-extensor muscle repairs and Burns. When prescribed by a physician, a CPM Machine is typically a covered benefit under most insurance plans. Rehab Services is contracted with and/or can provide service for most insurance plans, including Medicare. In addition to specializing in the rental of CPM Machines we also provide Knee Scooters, Therm-X Cold/Compression Units, Plasmaflow DVT prophylaxis, and Cold Therapy Units.
