Studies show a rise in stress-related oral health conditions since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Stress can cause teeth grinding ( bruxism ), chipped and cracked teeth as well as symptoms of TMJ such as jaw pain. Dental visits are safe! Since the coronavirus pandemic began, “there still isn’t a single known case of transmission of coronavirus in a dental setting between a patient and dental staff member,” This is according to past ADA VP Dr. Shenkin. Dr. Shenkin also states that due to strict infection control guidelines that have long been in place, “dental offices are one of the safest health care facilities for the public to be".

October is National Dental Hygiene Month!

Hello from Brinster Dental!! We miss you! Just a quick update...

The American Dental Association recently extended their recommendation for dental offices to treat only emergency cases until April 30. Dr. Brinster and our team fully support this recommendation and we will continue to postpone elective dental procedures such as routine hygiene and preventative visits until after April 30th and until all government restrictions are lifted.

We are still here for you! We are available for any dental related emergencies or questions you may have. We are in the office M-TH from 9-3. If you need us after hours, our phone message will provide you with our emergency service and we will return your call.

If you have an upcoming scheduled appointment, Tracey will call you to reschedule. Of course, feel free to call us as well. We would love to hear from you.

In response to COVID-19, The American Dental Association has recommended that all elective dental services be postponed from now until April 7. In accordance with these recommendations, and to do our part to reduce the risk of COVID-19, we will be rescheduling all hygiene and non-essential appointments until after April 7th.

Brinster Dental will be open for emergency and essential dental care. If you are experiencing pain or swelling please continue to call our office. Tracey or one of our team members will be available to answer or return your calls during the hours of 8am-12pm. If your emergency occurs outside of business hours, our phone message will continue to forward you to our emergency service which will contact us.

We are still here for you! Please continue to take care of your smile at home. Stay safe and please call us if you need us.
