1-24-2017 Sarge
To whom it may concern:
I belong to the senior center and my friend Mike thought that he could help me and his 72 year old friend Eugene Blakeley or “Sarge” out. Sarge had just been evicted from his apartment at the Annapolis Senior Center. My mother had just moved into an assisted living facility. I had a two bedroom condo and one of my bedrooms was vacant. Sarge is a senior member and Mike Allen who is on the board for the senior center thought Sarge would pay rent for my room so we gave it a try. I did not know his history. It was a mistake. He trashed the bedroom and caused the clothes rack to pull from the wall. It amounted to at least $100.00 dollars in damages. He did not pay me the rent we agree on. He slept all day and drank all night. I have had MS for 27 years and I could not be his maid ,nurse and caregiver. He says he has no money, but he is a smoker and that costs money, so does food. I know he is paid at the beginning of the month over $1000.00 dollars. I too am on social security and it takes money to live; I cannot afford a freeloader. I looked into his bedroom now and then to see if he had fixed the closet’ He has locked the door. He went out drinking last night, coming home at 3am drunk; I had to help him into his room. He has been warned that he has to move out by the 31st of January. I gave him over a month’s warning to make the arrangements. I wrote him letters, which he threw out. I have copies, plus he had my key copied. I kicked him out, but before he left he stole my gold necklace, it was a Chinese coin. It was worth over a thousand dollars, irreplaceable unmistakable. I did not misplace it. Before I could change the locks he came back and stole the necklace. He left his stuff after he was supposed to move out in the condo I had to pile it up outside; after two days it was gone. I thought I would go to the Senior Center to play pool three times a week. He has no address but he is a member at the Annapolis Senior Center. He showed up one morning, when I was there, thinking I was over it. He left his cane against the wall and walked off. I went over and picked up the cane and walked out; crossed the parking lot and threw it over the fence by a football field. He could get his cane back. I want my necklace back. For this the Senior Center suspended me for 30 days I was told that I yelled, screamed and scared people. I did not, he did. The center is like a sanctuary city, no physical or interactive contact. So I thought about it and when my time was up I put a note in front of him. I wrote him to return my necklace and the key for the lock attached to my out -door table and his bike. I will not buy a bolt cutter. I went to play pool and when I returned to the cafeteria, the director called me into her office and said I was harassing him and other people. This time she evicted me forever. I thought we could keep this between Sarge and me; wrong. I gave him a chance to make good on his criminal behavior. I had a heart until he stabbed me in the heart. I have done nothing wrong and so now I had to get the police involved. He has burnt all his bridges. I feel sorry for him, he is an old alcoholic man who lies and takes advantage of good hearted people. He has no right to hurt anyone. I will not go down with him, I will not put up with his crap. I have been through hell; he has the chance to not experience it. I hope he wakes up.
