We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Taylor Scott has joined Annapolis Child and Family Therapy Center!
Taylor Scott, MD is a board-certified general, child and adolescent psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults. She has experience treating patients from a myriad of backgrounds that has helped her to develop her unique, personalized treatment strategies. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Scott serves as the medical director of the Villa Maria Behavioral Health Clinics as well as consultant for the Anne Arundel County Department of Health. In these roles, Dr. Scott leads efforts to provide safe, well-informed care through case consultations as well as the development and implementation of agency-wide policies. Prior to her role as medical director, she served as the director of education, leading training and scholarship pursuits for the team of physicians and nurse practitioners. For several years, she provided telehealth services to children and adults in Harford County. During that time, she provided oversight and worked collaboratively with several teams of mental health professionals. Her experience in telehealth-based care has allowed for a robust, flexible private practice that provides both in-person and virtual services. Currently, she continues her work providing services to Anne Arundel County through the outpatient mental health clinic setting and her private practice. She also provides intensive, community-based care through the youth crisis service in Baltimore. Through her many years in private practice, Dr. Scott has been successful in delivering practical, individualized, and evidence-based care.
Dr. Scott obtained her undergraduate degree from Duke University in Durham, NC. She went on to complete her medical training at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine Chapel Hill. While in training, Dr. Scott participated in multiple research projects as a Whitehead research fellow and Howard Hughes research fellow that culminated in peer-reviewed publications. She completed both her general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt. During her fellowship, Dr. Scott led recruitment efforts and provided oversight to trainees as a chief resident.
Welcome, Dr. Scott!
