September is su***de prevention month. The semicolon is punctuation we use to continue the sentence. To go on.
I have a pro-tip: su***de prevention and awareness is daily.
After a celebrity is found having succumbed to their depression, media and their friends often say, “I wished they would have said something/ reached out”.
When someone feels so truly sad they want to no longer exist they feel like a burden and cannot “reach out”. So, our job is to genuinely care about each other. I know, the state of our world makes that difficult, but not impossible.
One step at a time; you are worth it, you are enough.
