I’ll be checking out for a few days at the end of this week. My youngest turns one, and my middle graduates kindergarten 🥲 so I’ll be in full mom-mode! I do, however, want to reintroduce myself to any new followers we have here! I’m glad you’re here, and I’m glad to answer any questions you have.

Let’s talk screens! Here’s some useful information for infants and technology. Main takeaways:

- AAP recommends NO screens under 18 months
- Your baby needs to see and hear you, not a screen, in order to develop appropriate communication skills
- 80% of brain development happens in the first 3 years of life…screens change this development!

⚠️ Citizens of Anniston, please be aware of lane closures on Quintard Avenue starting Monday, October 28, 2024, at approximately 6:00 AM CT.

ℹ️ Work will occur from Quintard and 8th Street to Quintard and 18th Street in both northbound and southbound lanes until Tuesday, October 29, 2024. One to two lanes will be closed at various times, but Quintard will remain passable. However, expect delays for approximately 10 blocks.

The closures are due to tree removals. The trees have reached the end of their lifespan, and city leadership is currently working on a replacement plan.
