Just saw a FB add on a product called “HeardLoud” that claims to send sound through air, yet bone? Your inner ear(the final transducer for waves to electro chemical responses) is encased in bone. It can only be reached by vibration of the skull or through an air conduction instrument. . . The hearing aid!!! Hearing aids do not damage your hearing but shouldn’t be used when mowing grass or shooting guns. The reason for that is because those sounds alone will create hearing loss if not protected. Audiologists follow patients wearing hearing aids annually to assess changes in hearing and adjusting hearing aids as needed.
