Navigating baby formula can feel overwhelming, but you’re not alone. At Anniston Pediatrics, we want to help you understand your options so you can feel confident in what you choose for your little one.
Most formulas are milk‑based and work well for many full‑term babies. Soy-based formulas provide a dairy‑free alternative for families who need it, such as those managing lactose intolerance or avoiding animal proteins (though they aren’t recommended for premature infants). For babies who can’t tolerate milk or soy, protein hydrolysate formulas offer another option.
All formulas sold in the U.S. meet FDA standards, so the biggest priority isn’t the brand - it’s choosing an iron‑fortified formula that supports healthy growth.
⚠️ Homemade formula is never safe. And before making any changes to your baby’s formula, reach out to our team. We’re here to guide you and help you find the best fit for your child’s needs.
