📢 WIC IN ALABAMA WILL CONTINUE

The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) is reminding people that the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program will continue to operate as normal during the federal government shutdown.

The ADPH also reminds participants that WIC and SNAP are different programs. SNAP is not managed by ADPH.

What this means right now:
• All WIC services remain available statewide.

To help ensure uninterrupted service, ADPH has temporarily moved to a one-month benefit issuance schedule.

Hey everyone! My name is Stephanie McNair, the owner of Mind in Motion Counseling. I wanted to introduce myself and some of the passions I hold within the mental health field. I earned my education at Auburn University and graduated in 2018 with my Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am extremely passionate in helping teens and adolescents navigate the world, in a place where they can feel heard and supported. I love helping adults navigate life challenges that leave us feeling stuck and offer them a space to feel empowered and valued. I offer Telehealth services in the entire state of Alabama and will be providing in-person therapy in Huntsville, AL.

Today we celebrate seven years of dedication and leadership. Today we are celebrating Brooklyn, our incredible practice manager who is celebrating 7 years today leading our team. Her work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt in every corner of our clinic. From the way our days run smoothly to the trust our families feel when they walk through the door, Brooklyn’s influence is woven into it all. We’re so lucky to have her, and so are the families we serve. Here’s to many more years!

Kids don’t always say “I’m anxious,” but they might say “My stomach hurts.”

Children often express stress or anxiety through physical symptoms. If your child is experiencing headaches, stomachaches, trouble sleeping, or seems more irritable than usual, they may be struggling emotionally even if they don’t have the words to explain it.
