🌟 We couldn’t be prouder of our very own, Molly Wilburn, RN, BSN, on recently earning her TNCC certification. Her dedication to delivering exceptional, high-quality care to our community is truly commendable and reflects her ongoing commitment to professional excellence. Molly joins Joanne Morrison, RN with this certification, who also works for our nursing team.

Anson General Hospital remains dedicated to supporting continued education and professional growth opportunities for our nursing staff, with the ongoing goal of expanding TNCC certification across our nursing team.

We are proud to share that our very own, Lisa Tankersley, had the opportunity to attend the “Protecting Caregivers and Building a Workplace Violence Prevention Program” workshop hosted by Texas A&M Health Rural and Community Health Institute. This important training brought together rural hospitals from across Texas to learn evidence-based workplace violence prevention strategies, best practices, and effective program development to help create safer environments for healthcare workers and patients. We are grateful for Lisa’s commitment to continuing education and bringing valuable knowledge back to support the safety and well-being of our team and community.

Since 1952, Anson General Hospital has been a mainstay for Jones County. Today, they continue that mission by bringing specialized care directly to the 20,000 neighbors who count on them.

They have recently expanded services to include an infusion program which has become a model for other rural hospitals. For the community, this means access to life-changing therapies right around the corner, eliminating the physical and financial burden of travel.

AGH remains a reliable anchor for the community, providing patients a one-stop destination for daily health and recovery.

We’re honored to support Anson General Hospital as they build a stronger, healthier future for rural Texans.

The 2025 Statistical Update is a major source for monitoring cardiovascular health, risk factors, and disease in the U.S. and global population. It serves as a valuable resource for researchers, clinicians, healthcare policy makers, media professionals, the public and others who seek the best national data available on disease morbidity, mortality and risks; quality of care; medical procedures and operations; and costs associated with the management of these diseases.

On average, someone in the U.S. dies of stroke every 3 minutes and 11 seconds.
Nearly 47% of U.S. adults are estimated to have hypertension.
Stroke accounts for 17.5% of total cardiovascular disease deaths.

Rural health care truly takes a village. By coming together—through community support, local partnerships, and innovative technology—we’re able to overcome challenges like limited resources, geographic isolation, and higher rates of chronic illness.

We are incredibly grateful for the strong sense of community and camaraderie here in Jones County. A heartfelt thank you to our local law enforcement, volunteer fire department, and every individual who plays a role in making health care sustainable and accessible for our neighbors. Your dedication makes all the difference.
