Since 2011, the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) has set aside the third Thursday of November to celebrate the "Power of Rural" on National Rural Health Day (NRHD). This day is an opportunity to bring attention to and honor the incredible efforts of rural healthcare providers, communities, organizations, State Offices of Rural Health, and other stakeholders dedicated to addressing the unique healthcare needs of rural America.

Happy Rad Tech Week to all those that go above and beyond for our patients!

Rad Tech Week was established by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) in 1979 to celebrate the importance of medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals. Initially celebrated in July, the dates were changed to the week of November 8th to coincide with the anniversary of Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen's discovery of the x-ray on November 8, 1895. The week honors the crucial role of radiologic technologists in patient care and raises public awareness about the profession
