We're an autistic-led 501(c3) nonprofit and are dedicated to individuals who identify as autistic, with an emphasis on those from historically underrepresented genders. Mission:

Autistic Women’s Alliance empowers autistic individuals from historically underrepresented genders to thrive personally, professionally, and socially through peer support, mentoring, education, and community connection. Vision:

Our vision is a future where every autistic person is embraced for who they are, where neurodiversity is woven into the fabric of our communities, and where barriers are replaced with opportunities for connection, creativity, and joy.

We are looking for a volunteer with experience using MailChimp or a comparable marketing email platform. Depending on the data analysis, we want this person to present a recommended approach with some steps on how to clean up the data in MailChimp. This person may also be responsible for executing these steps - it depends on which recommended approaches that the board goes with. The time commitment/Proposed timeline may adjust based on the board's recommended approach, which is why they are considered "flexible."

MailChimp Migration Project Duration: Temporary (Project-based, approx. 6–10 weeks) Location: Remote Time Commitment: Flexible (estimated 5–10 hours/week) Project Summary We are currently using Mailch

As we start the month of June, we'd like to wish everyone Happy Gay Pride.

(Alt text, page 1: pride flag with text at the bottom "Happy Pride Month" with and our logo next to that, page 2 has text "Autistic Women's Spent Supports and Celebrates Pride Month" against purple background with our name and logo at the bottom)

Leading Autism organizations include the Autism Society of America, Autistic Women & Nonbinary Network, The Autistic Self Advocacy Network, and, yes, Autism Speaks. These organizations are responding to recent remarks made by RFK Jr., who is currently the head of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

We have been concerned by recent U.S. policy decisions that impact neurodivergent individuals, to the extent that our next Virtual Coffee Chat is devoted to this topic.

Autistic Women's Alliance is an autistic-led 501(c3) organization dedicated to empowering autistic individuals from historically underrepresented genders. We focus on helping our members thrive in their careers through peer mentoring, education, and community outreach. Most importantly, we're a community.

This two-page banner for Autism Acceptance Month says it all:

(Alt text: Page 1: AWA logo with a large purple "W" with green and blue aqua infinity symbol with "Autistic Women's Alliance" in the circle. Below logo banner reads "Our Message for April" "Acceptance is Action" "Underrepresented Genders Supported" page 2: Text against purple background "Proudly Autistic: Together, We Thrive" bottom of page text "Underrepresented Genders Supported" with small AWA logo to the right.)

Not tagging individuals here, but plenty of hashtags:

As someone who was raised in Southern California (Carrie Hall) and lived in Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley for several years, L.A. Works has a page of different things that people can do to help (mostly volunteer work vs donations), and we'd like to share that page. Big thanks to Steph Tember for giving us that info.
