I hate to waste anything. When I make my chicken soup I usually strain it, I can the broth; freeze the bones for bone broth; and freeze the shredded meat, for salads and sandwiches or whatever.. I felt I could get something more from the vegetable scraps left in my strainer. I decided to try to make checken boulion from them. I used my blender to puree it. Strained it again until most of the liquid was strained off. Added the liquid to the broth from the first straining. To dehydrate it I spread a thin even layer on parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Put it in the oven on 200° F for 8+ hours until it crumbles and has no moisture. Ground it into powder ussing my my herb grinder. VOILA!!!! My own chicken boullion. Now all parts of the chicken soup have been used. 0 waste.
