Long time no post! The past couple years have flown by, and I have been able to invest a lot of time and resources into expanding my skills and education in effective techniques that help people. It's been a lot of work, and now I'm focusing on integrating what I've learned.

The short list includes RAPID NeuroFascial Reset (PLEASE look into this if you're experiencing chronic pain or neurological pain), Sharon Wheeler's ScarWork, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and NeuroKinetic Therapy.

I have also had the opportunity to dive into online trainings focusing on biomechanics, orthopedic assessments with osteopathic listening techniques, and cranial nerves.
On top of this, I trained with a behavioral coach on how to coach effectively with integrity and began learning about minerals and the role they play in our bodies.

Writing it all out, my head is spinning a little. I cut myself off from new trainings until I integrate more of this.

If nothing else, please know there are way more wild and wonderful ways to support our bodies than we know what to do with.

This is a new technique my clients and I are finding SUPER beneficial. Pain and decreased range of motion don't have to be permanent. 🙌

Surprise! Fascia has almost 1000% more sensory nerves than muscles.

No wonder it’s such a big deal when it comes to pain! 😅

More and more evidence points to mouth taping as a necessary intervention to help combat poor facial development and sleep issues like sleep apnea.

Due to the very low to moderate level of certainty, neither an association nor a lack thereof between craniofacial morphology and pediatric OSA can be supported at this time.

Make it easy to build your habits.

One thing that stuck out to me in Atomic Habits by James Clear is the idea of making it easy to incorporate and build new habits. Why add more to remember or "do" when you don't have much bandwidth?

I wanted to drink more herbal tea and switch to loose leaf. Putting the tea in glass containers on the counter means I see the tea each time I am in my kitchen, making it easier for me to achieve my goal. The strainer and measuring spoon also live in a drawer next to it.

I now drink more tea, specifically loose leaf, and I have the added bonus of beautifying my space, which is important to me.

Make life easier for yourself.

It's not all in your head. More research is being published indicating fibromyalgia is an immune-related condition. The interplay between the mind, the nervous system, and the immune system is complex and more accessible research is just getting started!

Research shows that many of the symptoms of fibromyalgia syndrome are caused by antibodies that increase the activity of pain-sensing nerves throughout the body.
