Since 1996, I had worked in partnership with Florida Hospital Medical Group (FHMG), who was responsible for providing OPERATIONAL and MANAGEMENT support for my office practice. Legally, they owned the charts and the patients are considered theirs. For a multitude of reasons, we decided to terminate that business relationship.

The contract agreement allowed for a period of transition, during which FHMG opted to pay me to stay out of my office building for 60 days. In an effort to retain as much of their business as possible, they relocated the patient charts and most of the remaining staff to another FHMG practice nearby.

In that I own the building and its contents, and that FHMG's lease (from me) for the building expired on the same day as my employment contract, I took the time to reorganize a new administrative structure for my practice and opened for business again in mid-September, but as an independent doctor. I have now completed negotiating my own contracts with all of the same insurance companies that I had before, including Medicare. Although a couple of insurers still have not completed the processing of those contracts, it will only be a matter of days before my in-network status is confirmed.

FHMG has chosen to retain the rights to the old practice name (Central Family Practice) and phone number, so that you can reach them to obtain you chart at 407-886-9110.

In addition to comprehensive primary care services, my practice will continue to emphasize RESTORATIVE MEDICINE. Through a proactive, preventative approach to healthcare for an aging population, I focus on the preservation of optimum hormone function (Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement) and quality of life, making every effort to modulate the process of aging, prior to the onset of degenerative disease.

Dr. Addam Masri's medical practice has gone through a time of significant change. Once a part of FHMG, after 17 years the contract binding them together has been terminated because of both philosphical and financial concerns. After being out of the office a total of 60 days organizing a new administrative structure, Dr. Masri will is openning MASRI MEDICAL for business on Wednesday, September 12th.

Dr. Addam Masri is Board Certified in Family Medicine, and has been in practice since 1990. A graduate of the University of South Florida, College of Medicine in Tampa, he completed his training at Florida Hospital in Orlando. Concerned with the total health care of the individual and the family, and trained in all areas of medicine, DR. MASRI can diagnose and treat the full range of problems people typically bring to their doctor.
