CoViD 19 Response
Here, at The Health & Healing Place we closed our doors for several days to be sure we were providing the healthiest and safest environment for our clients and staff.
These are the steps we have taken to further ensure the health and safety of our clients.
The carpets and bamboo window shades have been removed in the treatment rooms. The hard surfaces are able to be cleaned and disinfected reliably. Soft surfaces, like the bamboo blinds and carpet are harder to clean effectively and can hide dust and anything harbored there.
The air filters for the HVAC (heating and air conditioning) system have been replaced with the highest quality filtration available. “Honeywell, Elite Allergen Filter” 10 FPR (Filter Performance Rating, is a scale from 1 – 10, with 10 being the best in all categories.) It is able to filter small particles in the environment including: bacteria, molds, smoke and smog particles, as well as virus carriers. There are seven filters in our small suite. Each room has its own filter.
The HVAC system fan is on all the time to keep air circulating and continuously filtering.
Three HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) air cleaners are running to provide additional air filtration at an even higher level. HEPA filters remove at least 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 micrometers in diameter.
All flat hard surfaces have been cleaned and wiped down with a disinfectant. This includes the counters, cabinets, floors, chairs, door, light switches, faucet and toilet flush handles, door, door jambs, window sills, aluminum window blinds, etc.
During sessions the therapists will have a face mask to provide additional protection for the client.
