Back in April, we nominated our Maintenance Technician, Jeff, for Care Providers of Minnesota “Employee of the Year” award. While he wasn’t selected, he received a certificate of appreciation, which we presented to him with our leadership team. Jeff was incredibly touched and said he had never received anything like this in all his years of working.

From the moment you walk into Ecumen Centennial House, Jeff’s smile and easygoing energy make people feel at home. He is more than a team member, he is the heart of our building. His kindness, compassion, and willingness to help everyone around him make a real difference every day.

We’re so proud to have Jeff on our team.

We spent this beautiful morning outside with Barb, enjoying a peaceful walk and some good conversation. At one point she asked, “What’s a selfie?” 😂 These sweet, simple moments are what make our days so special.

As our Executive Director Ashley Bontjes says, “It’s the 1:1 time with our residents that reminds us why we do what we do.”

It’s truly the little things that mean the most.
