Dr. Aaron Williams obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic at the Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, Minnesota in 1998. He is currently going through a Fellowship program as a candidate in Spinal Biomechanics and Trauma - Cleveland University Kansas City, College of Chiropractic. Also, he is an Active Trauma Team Member at the Academy of Chiropractic. Our first step towards becomi

While it may seem long, the information and history you are providing is important for us to truly help address your specific need. Once you complete this form, we will move to our next step, the assessment. Before treating you, our doctor must first arrive at an accurate diagnosis. Our doctor is highly trained in diagnostics, credentialed through both Chiropractic and Medical academia. Using your symptoms as a guide to narrow the focus we will gather more information from a physical examination. From those results we may recommend x-rays, MRIs or other advanced testing to determine the exact cause of your problem. Once a diagnosis has been determined, we will prescribe a treatment plan tailored to your exact situation, including the type of treatment you will receive, the frequency of the treatment and cost of treatment. If a referral is necessary, we work with other physician specialists around the area.

Understanding Pain from Spinal Dysfunction
The spine is a complex structure composed of bones (vertebrae), discs, nerves, and muscles. It supports our body and allows us to move flexibly. However, when there’s a problem with any part of the spine, it can lead to pain and other symptoms.

Common Causes of Spinal Dysfunction
Herniated Discs: Discs act as cushions between the vertebrae. When a disc is damaged, it can bulge or rupture, pressing on nearby nerves and causing pain.
Spinal Stenosis: This condition involves the narrowing of the spinal canal, which puts pressure on the spinal cord and nerves.
Degenerative Disc Disease: As we age, the discs in our spine can deteriorate, leading to pain and reduced mobility.
Facet Joint Dysfunction: The small joints between the vertebrae can become arthritic or injured, causing localized pain.
Spondylolisthesis: This occurs when one vertebra slips forward over the one below it, potentially compressing nerves.
Muscle Strains and Sprains: Overuse, improper lifting, or sudden movements can strain or sprain the muscles and ligaments of the spine.

Types of Pain
Localized Pain: This pain is confined to a specific area of the back or neck. It is often caused by muscle or ligament strain.
Referred Pain: Pain felt in another part of the body, such as the hips or legs, due to nerve irritation.
