Dr. Jeff Burkett with Surgical Associates of Neenah, Lynn Detterman - Senior Vice-President and President of the South Region ThedaCare and Barbara Beuscher - Chief Philanthropy Officer and Senior Vice-President ThedaCare provided a guided tour of the new robotic operating suites at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah to Todd Kelsey, Chief Executive Officer of Plexus, and Angelo Ninivaggi, Executive Vice-President, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Secretary of Plexus. The new robotic operating suites are a part of the $100 million modernization project for the Neenah campus. Plexus partnered with and supported ThedaCare in this modernization project by sponsoring one of these robotic suites. The viewing room located between the robotic suites allows for the simultaneous observation of not one, but two, robotic-assisted surgical cases. Surgical Associates of Neenah, S.C. thanks both ThedaCare and Plexus for providing this technology and support which can provide a much less invasive, much less painful and much quicker recovery from surgery than traditional open surgery.

The Robotic Open House was held yesterday at ThedaCare Medical Center- Berlin. Middle school and high school students with a particular interest in health care were able to see the DaVinci robot and meet with our surgical team to learn more about this innovative way to provide general surgical care to patients. The event was then opened to the general public for an up-close look at the robot and the opportunity to talk with our surgical professionals. Surgical Associates of Neenah would like to extend its sincere thanks to the staff at ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin for hosting this well-attended event and to the Berlin area community for participating.

Surgical Associates of Neenah, S.C. is proud to participate in the surgical robotic open house at ThedaCare Medical Center - Berlin. This event is open to the public and will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. near the surgical center entrance. All of the surgeons at Surgical Associates of Neenah are skilled in robotic-assisted surgery for a number of general surgical procedures, including hernia repair and gallbladder removal. Incisions are smaller and patients are generally able to resume their normal activities sooner than with the traditional open surgical procedure.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, one person dies every 33 seconds in the United States from cardiovascular disease. On February 2, 2024, the staff at Surgical Associates of Neenah participated in National Wear Red Day in support of American Heart Month and to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and promote heart-healthy lifestyles. Thanks to our staff for participating in this very worthwhile effort!!

Surgical Associates of Neenah, S.C. is a proud sponsor of Doctors in Recital. Doctors in Recital will be held January 27th at 7:00 p.m. at Cofrin Family Hall in Green Bay. Doctors In Recital presents an evening of music by area physicians who donate their time and talents to raise money for local causes. DR. BRIAN HONG of Surgical Associates of Neenah will be one of the physicians showcasing his musical gifts.

​Since 2006, Doctors in Recital has raised over $500,000 dollars for local charities.
