The most recent Fare-Well: Art & Death Cafe, held this week at our Wichmann Funeral Home Tri-County Chapel, explored how flowers have been used creatively and practically alongside funeral rituals, in addition to how flowers are symbols of comfort and remembrance. We talked about how art can help us to physically express grief, followed by hammering flowers on to paper to create beautiful and meaningful works of art. Everyone made a bouquet, to boot! 💐

Please take a moment today to pause and remember all those who lost their lives 24 years ago. 🇺🇸

Today, we remember the 343 firefighters, 72 police officers, 55 military personnel, and 2,507 civilians who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

We also pause to remember the more than 1,400 rescue workers who have died from exposure to toxins found at ground zero.

Please take a moment today to pay respect to these heroes and never let their memory fade.
