OSI Team Member Spotlight 💫

Meet Chris! She is a Patient Service Representative here at OSI and will be celebrating 25 years with our team this July.

Chris joined our physicians even before OSI was officially founded in 2006. She has been in the medical field since graduating from Viterbo College, spending much of her career completing FMLA and disability forms.

Her favorite part of her current role is meeting patients’ needs, answering questions about our Walk-In Clinic, and supporting our clinical staff.

We asked Chris what the best part of being on the OSI team is:

“Hands down—the people! They are hard-working, skilled, professional, fun, caring, and helpful. We are like family, and we all get to work in a beautiful building!”

Outside of work, Chris and her husband enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors, planting flowers, photography, animals, music, reading, crafts, and genealogy.

Meet our Orthopedic & Sports Institute Physicians 💫

Today we learn more about Dr. Jay Minorik, Dr. David Ritzow, and Dr. Todd Schubkegel!

Dr. Minorik is a board‑certified orthopedic surgeon and one of the founding physicians at OSI. He specializes in managing complex shoulder and knee conditions, including those resulting from sports injuries and degenerative disorders. His practice includes complete orthopedic care for the upper and lower extremities, with particular expertise in joint replacement and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors

Dr. Ritzow, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at OSI, offers both surgical and non-surgical treatment options as part of comprehensive orthopedic care for bones, joints, and soft tissue. His practice encompasses a broad range of orthopedic procedures including anterior hip replacement, total knee replacement, arthroscopic surgery of the lower and upper extremities, treatment of hand and wrist conditions, as well as complete fracture care. In his free time, he can be found spending time with his family, staying active, and embracing the outdoors.

Dr. Schubkegel, a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, specializes in shoulder and elbow care. His areas of expertise include arthroscopic shoulder surgery with advanced techniques of rotator cuff repair, standard and reverse shoulder replacements, shoulder and elbow instability reconstruction, comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care, treatment of upper extremity nerve conditions, total elbow replacement and arthroscopic elbow surgery, fracture care, nonoperative arthritis management and joint preservation, occupational injury management, and more. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family, exploring new trails, cooking, and playing guitar.
